Take your work-from-home space to a new level with the Vera Cruz Writing Desk, combining the best design elements of classic American traditional styling with a casual, comfortable look compatible with a high-tech workstyle. Crafted of Walnut and Oak Veneers in the Rosecliff russet brown finish and aged pewter knob hardware, the desk has 3 drawers with metal side-mounted guides with removable inserts in left and right drawers. There’s a removable writing slide and pencil tray that can be used in either side drawer, and the center drawer has a drop-front for keyboard use.
Hooker Furniture has developed the Vera Cruz Collection, a whole-home lineup with traditional styling on a smaller scale. The collection includes offerings in bedroom, dining room, occasional, home office and home entertainment furniture – in addition to several distinctive accent pieces – and comes in a classic Rosecliff russet brown finish that highlights the natural elements of the oak, walnut and maple veneers, and poplar solids used in the collection. This smaller-scaled collection takes the best design elements of classic American traditional styling and incorporates them into a comfortable, casual look that is softened for today’s modern consumer, with just a touch of formality.

Center drawer has drop-front
Rosecliff russet brown finish is slightly distressed and utilizes subtle hand planing to create depth, while tabletops are soft to the touch due to hand-rubbing. Distressing includes grater, wormholes, steel wool, graver and stone. Knob hardware in aged pewter finish.
Hooker Furniture utilizes a multiple-step finish process of up to 16 finish steps. This results in an unsurpassed clarity, depth and color richness and durability to our finishes. Through hand-craftsmanship such as rubbing and padding, our finishes feel as good as they look, with a smoothness that is delightful to the touch.
Hooker Furniture uses carefully chosen solid wood and select wood veneers over durable wood products in our furniture construction. Use of veneers enables more decorative looks unattainable with solid wood. Veneers are used over durable wood products such as medium density fiberboard (MDF) and particle board, made of renewable resources. MDF and particle board are used in quality furniture for areas that need to be stable, such as large surfaces. These durable wood products do not expand and contract with heat and cold and do not absorb moisture as much as solid wood, which results in stronger and longer-lasting furniture.
Walnut and Oak Veneers and Resin
We recommend dusting frequently with a clean, soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Clean the surface by rubbing in the direction of the grain. We recommend polishing your furniture approximately every six months using a clean, soft, lint-free cloth and rubbing the polish in the direction of the grain. Guardsman furniture polish or any furniture polish that doesn't contain silicone is recommended.
