Inspired by the tropical craftsmanship of the West Indies and classic British and Dutch Colonial design periods, the Charleston rectangle-shaped end table has an intricate carved leaf motif on the shaped legs. With one fixed shelf and one self-closing drawer, it is crafted of Cherry Veneers and Walnut Inlay with a Solid-Wood edge top and finished in the vibrant Maraschino Cherry using natural grain Cherry Veneers showcasing dramatic cathedral patterns in the wood. Decorative round knob hardware is in an antique bronze color.

The traditional soul of the collection is set apart by translucent cathedral cherry veneers, exotic walnut and maple inlays, age worn black cherry accents, and custom antique burnished hardware. The collection also offers a more casual West-Indies inspired design using various materials that harken to the open sea where trade ships of the past carrying exotic spices, fabrics, and foods would dock along this southern jewel. Maraschino Cherry: finished using natural grain Cherry veneers showcasing the dramatic cathedral structure with the selective inclusion of naturally occurring knots to deliver a rich warm cherry finish and a smooth sophisticated aesthetic. Round knob hardware in antique bronze color.

Through hand-craftsmanship such as rubbing and padding, our finishes feel as good as they look, with a smoothness that is delightful to the touch.
Hooker Furniture uses carefully chosen solid wood and select wood veneers over durable wood products in our furniture construction. Use of veneers enables more decorative looks unattainable with solid wood. Veneers are used over durable wood products such as medium density fiberboard (MDF) and particle board, made of renewable resources. MDF and particle board are used in quality furniture for areas that need to be stable, such as large surfaces. These durable wood products do not expand and contract with heat and cold and do not absorb moisture as much as solid wood, which results in stronger and longer-lasting furniture.
